Could you imagine if he had done this during his prime? The only historical equivalent I can think of is Ted Williams. Pat Tillman was a very good player, but by no means the most dominant athlete in his sport. From Golf Digest:
“Tiger was seriously considering becoming a Navy SEAL. I didn’t know how he’d go about it, but when he talked about it, it was clear he had a plan….I thought, Wow, here is Tiger Woods, greatest athlete on the planet, maybe the greatest athlete ever, right in the middle of his prime, basically ready to leave it all behind for a military life.”
Now THAT would have been a story. Apparently the same bum knees that are preventing him from dominating golf again also curtailed his dream of being a SEAL.
Exceptional reach on this young man.
Generation Y, where we traveled to the future and found this headline from 2015: “New York Times reporter reveals Ryan Braun was indeed taking PEDs in 2012.”
We made a couple of big changes today to the way you experience the website, most notably that we’ve added buttons (you’ll notice them in the bottom left) at the end of each post that allow you to instantly share them on various social networking platforms. This is a long overdue upgrade and we hope that you will all help us to continue to grow the site by sharing the content you like with your friends, only now you can do it automatically instead of manually copy+pasting a link. We’ve also made the tags and categories of each post invisible, so as not to overwhelm the post with too much filled-in space. This was purely for aesthetic reasons.
Please be sure to let us know if you encounter any problems, if you’d like use to add on buttons for other platforms, or if you have any helpful suggestions as we’ll be sure to respond ASAP.
Thanks for your continued support of Gen Y,
And here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how it was made:
No one could have ever guessed that attaching a jet engine to the back of a truck in the middle of a violently fast auto race would not end well.
